My Search for free cell phone deals
I've been searching the Internet for free cell phones because my contract with AT&T is about to expire and I need to replace my old Moto Razr that I bought way back in 2006. I'm considering switching my wireless service to Verizon or possibly T-Mobile. I am looking for a smart phone (Motorola Droid or Blackberry) that is offered free. (naturally along with your new service activation). It's easy enough to simply browse Google for free cell phones as there are over 90 million different links! My research turned up countless websites that offer free cell phones. The number of free cell phone opportunities available through the internet makes it very difficult to compare them objectively
Trustworthy cell phone dealers offering free phone deals
It appears to me
that the major reputable stores include the likes of Wirefly.com, LetsTalk.com
and Amazon.com, along with several large retail chains such as BestBuy or
RadioShack. Unfotruntately, among the many website that tout this the majority
of them are affiliate sites that serve only to redirect your business towards of
the major name providers. Though there are many websites that promote free cell
phones, people usually decide to use a major established company by the time
their research is done.
What company that offers wireless should I sign-up with?
Most wireless services are adequate and offer the same ammenities, although Verizon and AT&T seem to be the preferred carriers. AT&T has some excellent free cell phones and a lot of these deals include smart phones with touchscreen features as well as built in QWERTY keyboards that either flip out or slide. Not everyone enjoys using a touch screen, so having a full keyboard is also beneficial. The free cell phones offered for Verizon were also very attractive. There are a couple of different options, as they carry the Droid as well as some fantastic Blackberry phones that wont cost you a penny.
My final decision
I decided on a plan with Verizon Wireless that offered me a free Blackberry Curve and I placed the order through Wirefly. I will get back to you in the future to let you know how the results of my search for free cell phones turned out.
